Title : Dreams Which Are Not Realised

Medium : Pen on paper
Year : 2015

This art work has been made on paper with ink pen.
A thought sprang in mind that a large number of people in the society crave for dreams come true to their lives but the truth is that no all dreams are fully realized. While freedom prevails during childhood stage of life, on entry to adulthood one is surrounded by worldly problems of various kinds. Although he tries hard but cannot escape from responsibilities. He is so blind folded that he can’t do anything. This desperate form of life is the fate now. The characters depicted in this art work are two ladies and one man. The male is blind folded with birds flying over his face. Freedom like birds only remains his dream. He has been tightened up with a rope alongside the females. To become free now only remains dream for him. Insects swarming over his physical body compares his life like a hell. Even only imaging a free life like that depicted of birds and butterflies is just not a right for him. The state of imaginations has been created for the man. Out of two ladies, one female is shown highlighting the emotions like love etc. In various forms and eyes showering blessings. She seems lost in the divine love of his beloved child. The other woman exhibits tender and loving attitude. As also she is shown engulfed in a whirl of enigmatic thoughts. The male seems lost in hallucination and vague ambitions, presenting him in a vagabond state of life. This is only a humble attempt to represent both positive and negative aspects of human life.
