The set of bowls are from my Warli series. Warlis are adhivaasis living in the maharashtra-gujarat border areas. Their rudimentary sketches or paintings use a very basic vocabulary - circle, square and triangle. I have always been fascinated by the simplistic yet so very expressive designs.
