Setting up shop in WAC is easy. The step by step process explains how to activate your shop. While the best way to create a shop is to view it from a buyer’s perspective, we do recommend a few things that should you should keep in mind.
1. The big deal
Your shop is a lot more that an online platform to sell, it’s your identity… And who knows this could be a foundation of a large business for you. Use the platform to create a brand for yourself and your shop.
2. Visuals Speak
Whether it’s your logo, your image or your product photographs, it’s the first impression you create about yourself and your shop. Great product images can make a huge difference in the purchase decision. Get a help or even better, there are lots of sites which could give you tutorials on essentials of photography.

3. Keep Your Policies and Shipping Info updated
What mode of shipping are you comfortable with? Can you ship internationally? What happens if the courier mysteriously disappears? Your Shop Policies are the fine print and safety net of your business, and can be one of your greatest allies as business booms. Strive to address buyers’ questions and concerns ahead of time, and you’ll save yourself headaches and confusion down the line.
4. Keep Your Shelves Stocked
A well-stocked shop encourages buyers to browse to their heart’s content, which can lead to more bundled sales and less legwork for you. At least have a full page of listing which gives the buyer plenty of opportunity to find what they’re looking for. A good listing also increases your chances of becoming more relevant in the search engines. Keeping your stocks refreshed will also ensure a repeat sale and sustains buyer interests.
Likewise, please make sure that you have the inventory for the product on display at any time. Unavailability of a product displayed is the recipe for buyer discontentment besides the additional costs of transaction reversals.
5. Story tell your products
No one knows (or loves) your products better than you do. It’s vital that you contextualise the innate value and excitement with your item descriptions. Make sure the outer box is durable and appropriate for what you are sending. Many sellers ship in fairly simple boxes, but these are some interesting ideas for jazzing it up if you like.
7. Timely Shipping
Timely delivery adds to delight. After all, the buyers are eager to have the products they buy at your shop. Ship your products as early as you can. We realise that each creation is unique and some products take time to package and ship. Hence we stipulate maximum 7 days period from the time you receive a confirmation. Use a trusted courier company which should deliver at the earliest and in the safest manner. We stipulate a maximum timeframe of 10 days including remote areas from shipping to product delivery (21 days for international, when we go live with international).
8. Building the connect
WAC allows you to promote your own sites, blogs and pages on social network. Use this opportunity of a shop view to extend your network to the people who truly love your creations. No one knows your creations better than you. WAC also allows people to reach out directly, let the buyers feel secure and valued by responding promptly and patiently.
