INTRODUCTION

As an abstract artist, my works are my visual description of the world around me. I see in colour, line and form, and my works reflect this way of seeing. You'll find works in various styles and media in my shop, and won't have to break the bank for any of them.

A little about me : I'm a self taught artist who's been painting since 2006, and have several solo and group shows under my belt in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru, along with several live art performances. I'm also an art teacher and photographer, and conduct gallery hops in Mumbai regularly to introduce art to a wider audience.

Jai Ranjit (b. 1988) is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Mumbai, whose work mainly deals with trying to express the intricate goings-on of the Human Mind. With five solo shows and several group shows in three cities across India under his belt, Jai is constantly on experimental path, trying to understand styles and combinations that might better explain a particular concept, emotion or notion. With a love for teaching, Jai is always encouraging young and old to pick up the brush, be it to satisfy a creative yearning, or to gain from the therapeutic powers of the arts. Jai enjoys photography and writing, and is part of several art and photography groups in Mumbai. Jai has also introduced a new avenue of art exposure: “#ArtAuction” on twitter, where people from around the world can bid for small to mid-sized paintings within a set time frame, something that has gained some following in the major metro cities of India as well as articles in the print and online media. He started painting in 2007, and has been teaching art since 2009, and for two years at Crestar Creativity Center in Bandra, Mumbai from 2011 to 2013.

Pricing of woodcut and linocut prints differs from that of acrylic, watercolour and oil paintings on canvas or paper. Since prints are made in a one-time edition, their cumulative price would be equal to that of a medium sized artwork.

This means that if a print is of an edition of 5, the prices of the prints will be as follows due to the increasing rarity of that print after purchases :
edition 1/5 : INR 1,500
edition 2/5 : INR 3,000
edition 3/5 : INR 6,000
edition 4/5 : INR 12,000
edition 5/5 : INR 25,000
As prints are purchased, the available editions will be updated and mentioned with their prices in the shop.
