INTRODUCTION
Differniture foundered in 2014 by Parsons school for design, NY alumna Aakriti kumar is a young studio with an alternative take on furniture. It comprises of an eclectic range of sculptural yet functional pieces with a strong emphasis on sustainable manufacturing practices. Stepping away from conventional silhouettes Differniture create avant garde pieces using material that are readily available and promotes the importance of the handmade. Knowing that every individual has their own taste and every space demands something different, we give the option to customize any of our products be it size or finish to suit your taste or space.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
Aakriti likes to experience the transition of ideas into tangible objects. This need finds her transforming scrap material lying around the Differniture workshop into innovative objects such as rings and sculptures along with designing, supervising and ensuring her vision for Differniture comes to life in the form of sculptural artistic furniture and lighting.
