INTRODUCTION
Mahesh Sharma is Jammu born artist who presently lives in New Delhi. Born and brought up in a quiet town in the foothills of Himalayas, serenity and quietude are underlying yet prominent feature of his works.
He was attracted towards art in his early childhood and was taught oil painting by leading Jammu artiste Bhushan Kesar. He did his engineering graduation from NIT, Kashmir.
During his vacations he would often visit Delhi and at one time joined Triveni Kala Sangam where noted artistes guided young talent.
His art took a different direction soon after his initiation into Shaktipat way of meditation that he has been dedicatedly following for over one and a half decades. Print making attracted him and he joined a prominent artiste in his home town who introduced him to serigraphy. Though he learnt it but did not continue it as its mechanical nature hindered the meditative flow of creativity.
His works have been selected for participation in the Annual State Art Exhibitions of the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in the years 2008-09, 2009.-10, 2010–11, 2012-13.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
I am a self taught artist and started creating original works after being initiated by my spiritual guru in 2006. To me art is a process of creativity aimed at bringing out the subconscious that even the artist is not aware of in the beginning. Its during the process of painting that awareness dawns resulting from the repetition of events that originally seem just like accidents. My paintings generally start after a phase of contemplation when the mind has turned quiet and the instinct to react to the outside events has either subsided or has been satisfied.
SHIPPING POLICY
After we receive order, paintings will be shipped by reputed courier service only. Paintings will be shipped in rolled format in most cases except when they are already framed/ or stretched.
REFUND POLICY
Please don’t accept the packet if it seems to be damaged. Paintings once sold will not be returned.
