INTRODUCTION
Rangtantra is an attempt to rejuvenate and spread the magnificence of Hand Block Printing. An endeavour to make people feel this craft which will not only create awareness among them but also will motivate craftsmen to carry forward this legacy to their next generations.
It is a distinct brand promoted by Rangotri; showcasing an array of products for craft inclined people from craft spawning people- paving a path to nail a special position for the both. The products are not confined to a particular segment of customers but there is something for everyone. From men/women to kids; everyone can find something suitable for themselves and their homes.
Rangotri was incorporated in 1992 and started its first textile production in 1995. It initially started with three employees and six craftsmen. But now, through consistent and meticulous hard work the company has reached a level of being able to carry the current production in three workshops - two in Sanganer and one in Bagroo.
As this craft is losing its sheen in the rapidly changing lifestyle, the company is making scrupulous efforts to keep this invaluable treasure of craft alive. It’s a traditional craft form, thereby preserving a textile heritage. The company is nestled in the heart of Sanganer and has been producing unique and beautiful hand crafted textiles and home furnishings in cotton, silk and linen using specialized skills of block printing, hand embroidery, quilting and appliqué in its designs.
For block printing, all the blocks are hand carved by an expert crafts-person who carves designs from intricate to simple ones. Sometimes the products are printed with metal blocks which enhance their aesthetic value as well as makes the company distinct in the field.

In these workshops there are 150 craftsmen including printers, tailors, hand workers etc. and there are roughly 50 more craftsmen who work out of their homes. The company today exports hand crafted goods worth 1,000,000 USD to ten countries in Europe, U.K., U.S.A, Canada, South America, Japan, Australia, New Zealand etc.

As a part of Rangotri’s constant effort to preserve and promote Hand Block Printing of Jaipur, Sanganer, Bagroo, a Textile Park – JITPPL – ‘Jaipur Integrated Texcraft Park Private Limited’ in Bagroo has been developed. It is an initiative of a group of dedicated block printers who have been producing prints over the years. Rangotri is a founder member and promoter of this park, which is becoming a role model in the craft sector.
