INTRODUCTION
Rashmi is a well known ceramic artist based in Pune, India. Just like a writer uses words as her / his narrative medium, Rashmi uses Clay to visually create the world around her and the emotions within her.
The series of Masks featured on this site are inspired by natural forms, which to her discerning eye, take the form of variety of human expressions.
As each sculpture / mask is inspired by a particular / specific vision of the artist, each piece of work is therefore unique and is one of a kind, never to be repeated.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
Hi, I'm Rashmi Bhadkamkar, a Pune based sculptor/potter. I have been exploring the medium of clay for the past 17 years. I enjoy the versatility of this medium which over process from an easily malleable substance changes to baked earth i.e.ceramic.Besides sculpting I enjoy sharing my knowledge of this medium by teaching adults and children alike at the creative club studio.
