Evolution-
Lac is a natural, biodegradable, non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, hard resin and non-injurious to health. Lac is a thick, waxy substance excreted by the female lac bug-Tachardia lacca. It's actually the only resin that comes from an animal origin. The process of creating lac begins with the harvesting of stick lac. Tree twigs covered in the lac bug's secretions are collected and trimmed. The stick lac is scraped off the sticks and refined to make lac coins.
Properties of Lac-
Shellac, the only known commercial resin of animal origin, is a hard, tough, amorphous and easily brittle resinous solid. It is practically odorless in the cold, but evolves a characteristic smell on heating or melting. When slowly heated, it softens at 65-70°C.

Lac is fragile, so handle with care.
Keep the jewelry in separate zip pouch after every use.
Avoid from heat and perfumes.
