INTRODUCTION
Imagine a mission that begins with the idea of a perfect Valentine’s Day present and ends up providing employment to a phenomenal number of women of the villages around Lucknow. It seems impossible to make the two ends of this journey meet, but that was exactly how the conception of Parikshit took flight.
Parikshit Design Studio inspire numerous women to take an initiative to better their lives in the matters of financial independence and empower their individuality. Team Parikshit believes in taking responsibility for the welfare of the society. The Parikshit Design Studio commenced its journey by inspiring the women of a small village near Lucknow, and now imprints its guidance further to fortify their cause. These women are also the living catalysts to breathe life into the imagination of the innovators and designers of Team Parikshit
Team Parikshit intensely admires art and innovates in the field of creating works of pure passion and splendour. The Team not only loves the strength of vastness and variety in the Indian craft form, but also is on a mission to revive it. Imagine an enthusiasm that brings the creation of intricate pieces like earrings, message frames, wall clocks, lampshades, diaries and an endless list of products, into a mesmerizing agreement with Sanjhi weaving, twisting and quilling.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
Parikshit Mehrotra, a lean and ordinary looking guy with a technical computer science degree but a non-technical dream of women empowerment. He had been visiting this small village in Malihabad with his father ever since he was a small kid because his father is also a homeopathy doctor who runs a small charitable clinic for the villagers. This is also 'mango belt' and the place where all the chikankari (embroidery) is done which is sold across India. He saw the poor women of the village and the subpar wages they got for their brilliant and intricate chikan embroidery and he saw an opportunity for them.
Parikshit Design Studio was born with the marriage of his technical degree and women's skills. With the good name of his father and support of his friends, he started this venture by teaching girls and women of this village to create beauty out of paper. He taught them quilling art with paper strips, making earrings, show frames, walk clocks, etc. For their hard work, he pays them double the money they used to earn from chiken embroidery.
He says, "I understood that there is immense opportunity in this area to give employment to women and girls and pay them their actual due. I am also very particular about them completing their education. So many girls actually pay their school or college fees with the money they earn through this. Since most parents don't support girl education, I thought it would be a great way to teach them skill as well as give them financial independence. Also, they can't get out of their house to work. So, I provide raw materials, training and everything to them at the door step and they finish the work with remarkable finesse which I sell off. I am mostly in awe of these women and girls who manage their studies, household work and everything else on their own. They work without fans or lights or any fancy infrastructure. I hope one day I can create opportunities for them to earn enough money for everything they want to get"

SHIPPING POLICY
Parikshit will handle all shipping within India. We deliver to all places in India. When you type in your shipping address on our site, you will be informed in case your pin code is not in the list of serviced areas..
For all shipments above Rs1500.00 within India, we take care of the shipping fees. Below than Rs 1500 suitable shipping charges will be taken which varies from product to another.
When you order , shipments are sent out within 2 working days. Once a shipment is dispatched, we will ensure that the product gets delivered between 7 to 10 working days for domestic packages (within India).
REFUND POLICY
Our quality control department is rigorous & thorough in pre-shipment inspections, but on a rare occasion it is possible that a human error has occurred. In such a case, please return the product back with labels & tags intact, within 7 days from the date of receiving the order & we will send you a replacement. Send us a message within 24-48 hrs so that we can keep aside a fresh piece for you and initiate replacement procedure.
